Staff Scientist

The Yong Li Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine is searching for a highly motivated and talented investigator to work on Cancer Biology and Therapy. The position will be involved in the development and application of molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches to understand the mechanisms of cancer predisposition, initiation, progression, and response to treatment. The Li Laboratory is particularly interested in Cancer Biology, Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy, and Integrative Molecular Epidemiology. The staff scientist will function independently to investigate the underlying biology of cancer, develop novel modified T-cells or screen small compounds against lymphoma, myeloma, and solid tumors, and collaborate closely with computational biologists and clinicians. Baylor College of Medicine is located at the Texas Medical Center, which is the largest medical complex in the world and provides an ideal environment for scientific and clinical research. The position will start in 2023.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in cancer-related experiments such as various molecular cellular assays and mouse models.
• A strong record of peer-reviewed publications in cancer (a publication at or above the level of Cancer Research as the first author is a must).
• Knowledge of genomics and cancer immunology.
