3D in-situ Imaging Sciences Postdoctoral Researcher

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security. We are seeking a 3D in-situ Imaging Sciences Postdoctoral candidate to work with our Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies Group. The project work involves the application of light sheet fluorescence microscopy and microfluidics to achieve three-dimensional resolution of biological processes in single algal cells. You will be required to perform experimental studies in optics, genetic engineering by CRISPR Cas9, instrument design, component integration and image-based data analysis.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Engineering, Biology or related technical field Experience in optics and molecular biology Strong data analysis skills Demonstrated record of scientific achievement through publications and presentation Strong oral and written communication skills Experience with Python/C/Matlab, CRISPR/Cas9 genetic engineering, various microscopy techniques and microfluidics systems or flow cytometry preferred
