Summary
The Herman lab research interests range from the fundamental basic molecular mechanisms of transcription and replication fidelity, stress responses, and the evolution of antibiotic resistance. More recently, we have developed new strategies to fight against antibiotic resistance. We employ genetic, molecular, functional genomics, CRISPR-based next-generation sequencing-based screens, and accurate RNA sequencing (Arc-Seq) to tackle these issues. The lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate with relevant experience in microbiology, genetics, cell biology, molecular biology, or relevant fields.
