ROLE SUMMARY

Pfizer's Hematology portfolio continues to grow and is expected to bring significant value to the patients whom we are here to serve and to our Hematology/Oncology Business at Pfizer. The Hematology/Oncology portfolio is focused on Leukemia core brands (BOSULIF and BESPONSA) and is headed to expand including Multiple Myeloma (MM) and NonHodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL), with key novel targets like BCMA bispecific (elranatamab) and CD47 blocking agents (TTI-621 and TTI-622), that support our entry into lymphoid malignancies space.

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Franchise Lead Hematology and Biosimilars, the Global Hematology Senior Medical Director Lymphoma is accountable for the development and execution of global medical affairs strategy in Lymphoma, including evidence generation, communication, and global external engagement. The Global Hematology Senior Medical Director -Lymphoma will partner cross-functionally with medical teams, health and value functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities. The Global Hematology Senior Medical Director -Lymphoma will collaborate directly with country medical teams to understand major unmet medical needs and the HCP and patient perspective, regulatory and access dynamics at the country level and integrate needs and insights to co-create a global medical plan.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Global Hematology Senior Medical Director -Lymphoma will:

  • Facilitate scientific engagement across a broad range of stakeholders to strengthen external understanding of the unmet need in Lymphoma
  • Be member of the CD47 Global Medicine Team, working with GPD, Commercial, PHI, Regulatory, Policy.
  • Develop strategic evidence generation and dissemination plans
  • Lead or support the execution of evidence generation activities including independent research, clinical and research collaborations, and Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation
  • Lead internal data interpretation and alignment activities
  • Lead evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • PharmD/PhD
  • Substantial understanding/expertise of relevant therapeutic area (Lymphoma) required.
  • Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional global team environment
  • Strong clinical and disease knowledge in Lymphoma and other hematological malignancies
  • 8+ years experience in Medical Affairs required
  • Cross functional effectiveness
  • Leading effectively in a matrix
  • Proven track record of ability to work successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally with diverse colleagues
  • Very strong communications and relationship building capacity and ability to listen, understand and integrate country and local needs
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required

For roles based in New York City: The annual base salary for this position ranges from $178,700.00 to $297,700.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
