Sr Director, Business Performance and Operations - US & Regions VEO

The US and Regions Value evidence and Outcomes organization is focused on strategically defining and delivering market-leading evidence that drives transformative value for patients, payers, providers across GSK regions i.e., US, Europe, Greater China and Intercontinental and Emerging Markets.

As Sr. Director, Business Performance and Operations for US & Regions VEO, you will lead transformation of a growing and changing organization that includes leading key strategic initiatives, drive discipline and excellence in planning, financial management and execution as well as resource planning and optimization.

In this role, you will engage and build strong partnerships with a broad set of stakeholders across the business and be required to routinely facilitate cross-functional and cross-regional communication. This includes partners in Medical Affair across Regions, Global TAs, and local operating companies, VEO LT and business operations and PM teams, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Procurement.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Lead transformation and change management support for newly formed US and Regions VEO organization; Act as a strategic thought partner for the US and Regions VEO LT, providing structure, input, and perspective to make prioritized decisions based on future vision and goals
  • Working with the VP, manage the activities of the leadership team, planning calendar; Coordinate team meetings including agendas and develop communications.
  • Lead short and long-term strategy and planning for all aspects of US and Regions VEO operations. Coordinate budget and resource planning across the Regions team VEO organization, contributing operational input across VEO and Medical Affairs. including developing and distributing appropriate reports to LT.
  • Lead implementation of Integrated Resource Management (IRM) for US and Regions VEO.Ensure Project Management function and IRM are fully embedded ways of working and deliver expected benefits.
  • Provide coordination across regional VEO teams to ensure alignment with overall department strategies and initiatives, best practices, review performance and make recommendations for improvement in quality/efficiency
  • Ensure US and Region VEO leaders are prepared & effective across key external and internal global & cross-functional stakeholder meetings
  • Lead and partner on key cross functional initiatives


Basic Qualifications - we are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, science, medicine, finance or honors degree
  • 5+ years combination of experience in Strategy / Operations role at global PharmaCo and Pharma Strategy / Operations consulting.
  • Strong experience applying in Medical Affairs/ Health Outcomes/Epidemiology areas.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment across departmental lines and managing senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Consulting/advisory experience at senior management level (e.g., through strategy or change initiative roles in industry, or in a professional services organization)
  • Ability to travel 15%.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or MBA
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work flexibly to achieve team goals
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong networking skills and an ability to achieve through engaging the co-operation of others.
