The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry of Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2023.   We seek the best available candidate in any branch of biochemistry.  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry, and a minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience is preferred.  The successful applicant will show evidence of an ability to build and sustain a dynamic, externally funded research program and an aptitude for training the next generation of scientists at the undergraduate and graduate levels (MS and PhD).   The new faculty member will be affiliated with the CUNY Graduate Center, the doctoral degree granting institution within CUNY, broadening contact with other CUNY campuses.  Queens College offers competitive start-up packages and teaching remission for junior faculty during the first five years of their appointment.

Applications should consist of a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a two-page statement of research interests that includes a 5-year plan, a 1-page summary of teaching philosophy and experience and contact information for at least three references.  Applications must be submitted as a single pdf file at:
