The Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Therapeutics at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine is engaged in a multi-year program of expansion and currently invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position.  Highly qualified candidates are sought to complement the Department’s existing strengths in molecular pharmacology, neuropharmacology and radiobiology. Successful candidates are expected to develop vigorous independent, extramurally-funded research programs and actively participate in graduate and medical education.  Applications are encouraged from individuals engaged in all areas of pharmacology research and molecular signal transduction.  The University provides generous research start-up funds and full salary support.  Strong interdisciplinary graduate programs in Neuroscience, Molecular and Cell Biology, and Emerging Infectious Diseases allow ample opportunity for involvement in graduate education.   

 

The Uniformed Services University is located on the campus of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, adjacent to the National Institutes of Health and in close proximity to the biotechnology corridor in suburban Maryland.
