The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at University at Buffalo invites candidates to apply for the position of Lecturer (12 months/year) with a start date in Spring or Fall of 2023. We are particularly interested in candidates who can operate effectively in a team environment and in a diverse community of students and faculty.

We are seeking an outstanding teacher to foster the educational mission of the Department. The hired individual will be expected to teach on the following topics:
• Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms of drug action
• Therapeutic use of and adverse effects of drugs
• Principles of drug action in living organisms
• Pharmacokinetics

Teaching will be both at the undergraduate and professional levels in both large and small group settings and this person will need to be a leader in curriculum development and student advising.

We are seeking a candidate with a doctorate in pharmacology, pharmacy, neuroscience, or a closely related field.

Our School and University
Our department is located at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in downtown Buffalo in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences building at Main and High streets. Most of our other Downtown Campus entities—including Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, the New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, the Clinical and Research Institute on Addictions, and the Clinical and Translational Research Center—are located near the Jacobs School in Buffalo’s medical corridor, a dynamic hub of clinical care, research and education.
