The Department of Chemistry at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK; https://chem.utk.edu/) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Analytical Chemistry.   Outstanding candidates in all areas of Analytical Chemistry will be reviewed. Faculty with background in analytical separations or (bio)electroanalytical chemistry are particularly encouraged to apply.  The anticipated start date is August 1, 2023. Successful candidates are expected to continue/further develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program while also contributing to the department’s missions of service and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level. UTK is the flagship campus of the University of Tennessee system. Faculty in our department have the opportunity to collaborate with researchers and benefit from unique facilities both on campus and at nearby Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). These include the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS), Spallation Neutron Source (SNS), High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR), and High Temperature Materials Laboratory (HTML).

Qualifications

Assistant Professor requires a Ph.D degree in chemistry completed at time of application; at least one-year postdoctoral experience is preferred. Faculty with background in analytical separations or (bio)electrical chemistry are particularly encouraged to apply.
