ROLE SUMMARY
  • Serve as an experienced Medical resource to HQ Medical Affairs, Field Medical colleagues, and external Therapeutic Area investigators and researchers, as appropriate.
  • Provide US Medical Affairs leadership in GU Oncology, specifically prostate cancer.
  • Develop and execute impactful Medical launch strategies for talazoparib in prostate cancer, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Effective collaboration with multiple cross-functional partners, as appropriate, to achieve short and long-term business objectives.
  • External stakeholder engagement, including HCPs and patient organizations, to identify unmet Medical needs and educational & partnership opportunities.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Plan Development
  • Oversee and coordinate Medical input into brand strategies and tactics, aligning on US regional medical needs.
  • Develop and strengthen partnerships among multiple key matrix stakeholders, ensuring strict adherence to compliance guidelines.


Medical Affairs Leadership
  • Lead the development of pre/post launch Medical strategies and tactics and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Partner closely with Global Medical Affairs and assure strong US input & representation.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Development and Global Medical leads to develop strategic global and US publication plans.
  • Participate in data analyses and lead/support manuscript, abstract, and poster development.
  • Co-develop impactful Medical communications strategies through a variety of digital platforms.
  • Ensure robust and professional representation of US Medical at US congresses.
  • Develop strategic operating plan and diligently manage budget. Effectively manage vendor relationships by ensuring collaboration and accountability.


Customer Facing Partnerships & Insights
  • Develop and implement customer insight plan, including Advisory Boards, to gather expert guidance and inform Medical strategy.
  • Partner with expert HCP thought leaders and societies to support US Medical business goals, including manuscript generation, education/research partnerships, expert guidance and competitive insights.
  • Engage appropriately with patient advocacy organizations to ensure patients remain at the center of all Medical activities.


Review Promotional Materials
  • Provide medical input on promotional and sales training materials, in partnership with Legal, Regulatory and Marketing colleagues, to ensure compliant, accurate, fair-balanced and high-quality content of all commercial materials.


Research
  • Develop data generation strategies and manage Investigator-Sponsored Research program, Clinical Research Collaborations and analyses of Real World Data.
  • Develop and advocate for Phase IV lifecycle clinical trial strategies and concepts to support US medical business needs.


Safety Support
  • Represent US Medical on internal safety committees, safety analyses and interpretation of clinical and RWD. Provide input on safety updates & issues pertaining to the US business.


Regulatory Support
  • Provide US Medical leadership, support and guidance for new labels, label updates and responses to regulatory requests.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Scientific Degree (BA/BS 10+ years, MBA/MS 8+ years, PharmD/PHD 6+ years) with applicable expeirence
  • Prostate cancer experience strongly preferred.
  • Launch experience strongly preferred.
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated track record performance excellence.
  • Strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in proactively identifying opportunities and addressing challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships.
  • Well-organized with the ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, and effectively lead in a matrix organization.


NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Travel should be anticipated and is estimated to be ~25%.

For roles based in New York City: The annual base salary for this position ranges from $150,900.00 to $251,400.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
