With its global scholar recruitment campaign, the University aims to recruit outstanding scholars from all over the world in various disciplines.  The Department of Physics has also launched its own strategic hiring campaign seeking outstanding candidates with expertise in the following research fields:

Theory and computational physics
–    High-energy physics/astrophysics/cosmology
–    Statistical mechanics/complex systems/non-linear physics
–    Machine learning/first-principles calculations/large-scale simulations

Experimental physics
–    Quantum materials’ synthesis, particularly with expertise in single crystal growth

Exceptional candidates outside these priority areas are also encouraged to apply.  Successful candidates are expected to have an earned PhD in physics or closely related areas, evidence of the ability to build and lead an independent programme of research, and a strong commitment to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.  Applications and nominations will be reviewed all year round until the positions are filled.
