You are cordially invited to apply for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the laboratory of Dr. Mingyu Liang in the Center of Systems Molecular Medicine and a nationally top-ranked physiology department at the Medical College of Wisconsin. You will have the opportunity to perform cutting-edge genomics, functional genomics, multi-omics, and bioinformatics research of cardiovascular or renal disease. The project leverages established platforms in the laboratory for both wet lab and dry lab aspects of multiple omics assays ranging from 3D genome to single-cell and spatial omics. Alternatively, you may perform complex cardiovascular or renal physiological studies in vivo, leveraging established technological platforms for such studies and a large panel of genetically engineered mouse and rat models that has been custom-designed and developed in our laboratory. You will be an important part of a large group that is both rigorous and collegial. You will have the opportunity to learn how to lead team science projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary investigators in and outside our group. Please see https://www.mcw.edu/departments/physiology/people/mingyu-liang-phd and http://cosmm.org/ for more information about the laboratory.
We seek applicants with strong interest and skills in either omics and bioinformatics or cardiovascular/renal physiological studies as demonstrated by strong prior publications. The applicant should be committed to developing an independent research career by taking advantage of the extensive career mentoring and support available in our group. The applicant must be an excellent communicator and fluent in spoken and written English. The applicant should have a recent or expected Ph.D. degree in biological, biomedical, physical, or computer sciences.
You will need to upload 1) a cover letter explaining why you may be a good fit for the position and 2) CV including a list of all publications. You may also email a single PDF containing the cover letter and CV to Dr. Liang directly.
