About the Job
Dr. Joseph M. Metzger, in The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology (IBP) at the University of Minnesota Medical School, is seeking outstanding candidates with an Ph.D. and/or M.D. for research projects in molecular and integrative cardiology and skeletal muscle biology, including striated muscle sarcomere and cytoskeleton structure-function, E-C coupling, experimental gene and cell-based therapy and chemical-based molecular band-aids. Studies are directed toward acquired and inherited diseases, including heart failure, ischemia and muscular dystrophy. 

This position provides excellent mentoring and competitive stipends.
