I. University Profile

Anhui Medical University is located in Hefei, a famous historical and cultural city.As a higher education institution (HEI) with a history of nearly 100 years, it’s not only the first medical HEI in Anhui Province, a provincial key university, and a HEI co-constructed by the Ministry of Education (MOE) &the National Health Commission (NHC) of the PRC and Anhui Province, but also one of the first batch of high-level universities with local characteristics and the first batch of pilot schools for comprehensive reform in Anhui Province, undertaking the mission of fostering integrity and promoting rounded development of people, and cultivating elite talents boasting superb medical skills and dedicating themselves to the service of the country.

We offer 43 undergraduate majors, have 4 first-level / 45 second-level disciplines authorized to grant the doctoral degree&14 first-level / 77 second-level disciplines authorized to grant the master’s degree, and have established 3 key laboratories of the MOE, 1 key laboratory of the NHC as well as 41 provincial and ministerial level science & technology platforms. Eight disciplines, namely, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology and Biochemistry, Immunology, Neuroscience and Behavior, Environmental Science & Ecology and General Introduction to Social Sciences enter the top 1% of ESI global ranking.

III. Compensation Packagefor Talent Introduction

Level 1 Talent:

Annual salary – CNY 2 million; settling-in grant – CNY 7 million; research start-up funds – CNY 10 million; recognized as a qualified PhD supervisor, withplanned enrollment for doctoral candidates available and equipped with research assistant(s); and appointed as a “Southeastern Scholar and Southeastern Postdoctoral Supervisor”.

Level 2 Talent:

Annual salary – CNY 1 million; settling-in grant – CNY 5 million; research start-up funds – CNY 5 million; recognized as a qualified PhD supervisor, with planned enrollment for doctoral candidates available and equipped with research assistant(s); and appointed as a “Southeastern Scholar and Southeastern Postdoctoral Supervisor”.

Level 3 Talent:

Annual salary – CNY 0.4-0.6 million; settling-in grant – CNY 1.5-3 million; research start-up funds – CNY 1-2 million; recognized as a qualified PhD supervisor, with planned enrollment for doctoral candidates available and equipped with research assistant(s); and appointed as a “Southeastern Scholar and Southeastern Postdoctoral Supervisorr” .

Level 4 Talent:

Annual salary – CNY 0.2-0.3 million; settling-in grant – CNY 0.5-0.8 million; research start-up funds – CNY 0.4-0.5 million for the fields of natural sciences and engineering, and CNY 0.1-0.15 million for philosophy and social sciences; recognized as a qualified Master supervisor, the high performers who have been recognized as qualified can be appointed as “University Professor”;

Level 5 Talent:

Settling-in grant – CNY 0.4-0.5 million; research start-up funds – CNY 0.15-0.2 million for the fields ofnatural sciences and engineering, and no less than CNY 0.06 million forphilosophy and social sciences; the compensation package will be in line with that of the staff members at the same kind of posts in the university;

Level 6 Talent:

Settling-in grant – CNY 0.2-0.3 million; research start-up funds – CNY 0.06-0.1 million for the fields of natural sciences and engineering, and no less than CNY 0.03 million for philosophy and social sciences; the compensation package will be in line with that of the staff members at the same kind of posts in the university.

Talent Team:

Team members enjoy the perks slightly higher than those offered to the same level of talented personnel in the university; research start-up funds for the team: CNY 8-20 million for the fieldsofnatural sciences or calculating and distributing the accumulative total of the research start-up funds corresponding to the type of the talents in the team; provide certain scientific research conditions, equipped with research assistant(s) and assist in the establishment of academic echelon. .
