The Department of Physiology and Biophysics is seeking a tenure track faculty member at the assistant professor level. We invite to apply candidates who study the molecular and systems mechanisms of normal and pathological aging, neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders. We particularly encourage applicants with research focused on the brain-periphery interplay using cutting edge in vivo technologies. Successful candidates are expected to complement and expand the existing neuroscience programs in the department.
Candidates should have an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field and have proven success in conducting research as demonstrated by impactful publications and grant funding.
In this position, you will develop an internationally recognized research program, excel in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will be active in service to the department and school.
The Department is committed to recruiting and promoting diverse faculty as well as to equal opportunity for all regardless of race, national origin, gender identity, disability or religion. We strongly encourage applications from candidates of the under-represented minority backgrounds.
