Associate Research Scientist
Institute for Cancer Genetics
Dalla-Favera Lab
Associate Research Scientist positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Riccardo Dalla-Favera at Columbia University’s Institute for Cancer Genetics (ICG) in New York City to conduct research “identifying the landscape of non-coding mutations in diffuse large B cell lymphoma.”
The research mission of ICG is to elucidate the pathogenesis of human cancer as a means to identify novel mechanistically based diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The research program in the Dalla-Favera lab is aimed at the identification of the molecular pathogenesis of human B cell malignancies. Functional and structural genomic approaches are used toward the identification of the genetic lesions leading to the transformation of B lymphocytes. The genomic landscape of the tumors is then recapitulated in genetically modified mice in order to construct models for pre-clinical testing of science-based new therapeutic modalities.
The Associate Research Scientist position requires a PhD and/or MD plus three or more years of relevant work experience in molecular biology, genetics, cancer research, or a related field. Candidates will be involved in research “identifying the landscape of non-coding mutations in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL)” and must have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and mouse tumor models and have a strong record of productive research.
Qualified candidates with strong experience in molecular biology research are encouraged to apply at https://academic.careers.columbia.edu/#!/106451
