The Dere lab ( https://www.bcm.edu/research/faculty-labs/ruhee-dere-lab ) is looking for individuals with a background in biochemistry and cellular biology to contribute to ongoing projects investigating the non-canonical role for chromatin modifiers on the cytoskeleton. The Staff Scientist will establish novel biochemical assays to study protein-protein interactions and the ensuing dynamic and structural changes in protein conformations resulting from the interactions per se or the regulatory post-translational modifications that might occur on these proteins. This project is ideal for individuals who will lead projects in the laboratory without the responsibilities of running the lab or writing grants.
