The Department of Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry (http://mbb.yale.edu/) at Yale University seeks applicants for a tenured faculty appointment at the Associate/ Full Professor level. The research area is open. The Department, which is located both in the Faculty of Arts & Sciences and in the School of Medicine, defines biochemistry and biophysics broadly to mean the molecules and mechanisms of life. Current research areas include protein translation and homeostasis, RNA biology, genomics and DNA repair, cytoskeleton and membrane biology, and molecular neuroscience. The Department employs a range of approaches including structural (X-ray and cryoEM), genetic, cell biological and computational.

 

The successful candidate is expected to establish a vibrant research group, be an interactive member of the faculty, and be committed to excellence in teaching to both undergraduate and graduate students. The Department is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
