The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks to fill a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to join our nationally ranked program in analytical chemistry.  We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in spectroscopy, separations, microfluidics and/or electrochemistry. Candidates interested in developing a world-class research program in analytical chemistry are encouraged to apply. The new faculty member will join an interdisciplinary community on the main campus in Columbus, Ohio. Departmental faculty have access to state-of-the-art campus and national user facilities in areas such as electron microscopy, nanofabrication, NMR, mass spectrometry, and time-resolved laser science including X-ray and XUV spectroscopy, in addition to collaborations with other units of the university community.

Qualifications:  A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field is required. The position will begin Autumn 2023. Demonstrated excellence in innovative research and a strong commitment to teaching are essential. Outstanding applicants in all areas of analytical chemistry will be considered but priority will be given to those candidates whose research interests complement those of existing faculty. As a campus with a diverse student body, we encourage applications from women and underrepresented minority groups. Appointment is contingent on the university’s verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or university policies, including but not limited to a criminal background check.
