The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at Tulane University anticipates filling a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning July 1, 2023. The Cell and Molecular Biology Department has two major research directions: developmental biology and neuroscience and is one of the most highly funded departments at Tulane University (https://sse.tulane.edu/cell). In this search, we target candidates whose research interests focus on cellular/molecular neuroscience using cutting-edge approaches.

Applicants should have a Ph.D., at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience, a strong publication record, and have or show strong potential for obtaining external funding. The successful applicant will be expected to establish a vigorous, independent research program and to participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching, with particular emphasis on research; effort is apportioned at 60% research, 30% teaching, and 10% service.  Opportunities exist for research collaborations with, and participation in, the Tulane Brain Institute, the Neuroscience Program, the Greater New Orleans Society for Neuroscience, the Tulane National Primate Research Center, the Tulane Center for Aging, and the Tulane Cancer Center.

All applicants should submit their curriculum vitae, a brief statement of research interests and three letters of recommendation via the link: http://apply.interfolio.com/113280.  Review of applications will begin November 30, 2022 and will continue until the position is filled.

As such, Tulane University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/ADA Employer and strongly encourages underrepresented, minority and female applicants to apply.
