Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (Endowed Chair) Pharmacology and Toxicology

Multiple open rank faculty positions are available in the newly formed Coit Center for Longevity and Neurotherapeutics at the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy. We seek candidates for open positions at the rank of Assistant (tenure track), Associate, and full Professor. An Endowed Chair is available for highly qualified candidates.

The overall mission of the Center is to accelerate understanding of aging, longevity and/or neuronal health as well as foster efforts to develop new opportunities for prevention and drug discovery in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson, ALS, and others.

Topical areas of interest include the following: aging, longevity, neurodegeneration, Parkinson disease, ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, animal/cell models of aging and/or neurodegeneration, and genetic, epigenetic, and environmental impacts on aging and neuronal health. In addition, candidates with ongoing research efforts on Rapamycin and other longevity therapeutics are specially encouraged to apply.

Candidates at the Assistant professor rank should have an outstanding record of research accomplishments and are expected to develop an active externally funded research program. Candidates at the Associate and Full Professor ranks must have a strong track record of research and training as well an active externally funded program. This is a great opportunity for career development, research, and leadership through collaborative efforts with members of the newly formed Coit Center, as well as with the Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center and the Arizona Center for Drug Discovery.
