UMass Amherst BME Full Professor Search
The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME: https://bme.umass.edu) at UMass Amherst is
seeking one senior faculty position at the rank of Full Professor in the broad area of Biomedical
Engineering in synergy with the overall department and campus teaching and research missions.
The Department has outstanding research programs in the areas of Biomechanics, Biomaterials,
and Bioinstrumentation. The department includes broad opportunities for collaboration within
and outside of the department. The appointment is expected to begin September 1, 2023.
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or related fields. The
successful candidates should possess academic credentials of the highest quality and have a
strong record of teaching, research, extramural funding, service, and demonstrated commitment
to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
