What You Will Achieve

In your role, you will be joining a dynamic group in support of the global Pfizer small molecule research and development portfolio. As part of this team, you will be supporting in vivo studies and analyzing samples obtained from these studies. In you r role, you will be responsible for conducting and managing in vivo studies to determine the efficacy of both small molecule and biotherapeutic approaches.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Apply technical skills to projects/ assignments within own work group/project team.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to help design, execute, analyze/interpret data generated from experiments ranging from in vitro cell based to functional tissue bath assays.
  • Plan and conduct of in vivo studies in support of therapeutic portfolio.
  • Assist in the f ormulation of compounds and administration of drugs and experimental compounds by various routes .
  • Collect blood and various tissues.
  • Conduct e x vivo analysis of animal samples.
  • Maintain well-organized records and documentation.
  • Manage and control d ata entry and analysis .


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) and 3+ years of experience. pharmacology, or related biological science
  • Experience working with small laboratory animals, preferably in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment
  • Well established hands-on experience with rodent in vivo dosing and handling techniques
  • Experience in tissue dissection and tissue preparation for histology, RNA, and protein analysis
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques such as ELISA, FACS, TLDA and RT-PCR, CBA and Luminex assays
  • Analyzing and presenting data to individuals and in group settings
  • Excellent written and oral c ommunication and presentation skills .
  • W orking knowledge of analysis tools such as Excel, GraphPad, Biobook and PowerPoint for experimental documentation and data analysis/presentations.


Nice-to-Have
  • Master's Degree (MA/MS).
  • Experience with animal models of autoimmunity, inflammation and/or lung function.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to follow pre-established experimental designs, as well as ability to develop new protocols and methods with aptitude to troubleshoot problems in an independent manner.
  • Comfort with script-based data analysis and handling large datasets on platforms beyond Microsoft Excel .
