Job Details

A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the department of Radiation Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Chung's computational imaging lab's major research focus is to utilize advanced medical imaging tools and computational methods to generate high precision measurements and predictions of response and toxicity to the treatment of brain tumors with novel systemic agents and high precision radiotherapy. In addition, the lab is working on the standardization of collection and nomenclature of images to facilitate meaningful measurement and interpretation of imaging biomarkers across departments and institutions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The postdoctoral fellow will develop quantitative image processing and analysis approaches in order to develop high precision imaging response assessment and predictive biomarkers and to work with interdisciplinary collaborators to develop computational methods to predict treatment responses for the guidance of predictive adaptive radiotherapy approaches. In addition, the postdoctoral fellow will also assist in leadership and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Successful applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience, at least one first author publication, as well as a high level of written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with radiological imaging research and quantitative image analysis is a plus
Experience with data analytics
Experience with Python
Experience with Monte Carlo and CUDA is a plus
