The Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University seeks applications for research-intensive tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful candidates will complement a group of highly interactive faculty members with broad expertise in basic immunology, microbial pathogenesis, host-pathogen interactions, vaccines, and the mechanisms of immune diseases. Candidates’ research interests should be within the context of infectious diseases or cancer and may include, but are not limited to, basic immunology, systems biology of the immune response, antibody function, vaccine development, mechanisms of vaccine protection, adjuvants, and immunotherapy. Appointees will receive a generous start-up package and a salary commensurate with their rank and experience. Candidates for Associate or Full Professor positions should provide evidence of successfully leading a research group and a strong record of publications and extramural funding. The Microbiology and Immunology Department is affiliated with the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, which supports state-of-the-art central facilities including flow cytometry, X-ray crystallography, and Cryo-EM, genomics, cell and animal bio-imaging, and biosafety level 2 and 3 facilities for tissue culture and animals. 

Thomas Jefferson University is located in Center City Philadelphia, adjacent to a variety of historical, cultural and entertainment attractions.
