Research Assistant Professor positions are now open in the Program for Lung and Vascular Biology, and Section of Injury Repair and Regeneration Research at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Department of Pediatrics, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The program conducts leading interdisciplinary research in the fields of lung biology and vascular biology focusing on the mechanisms of endothelial injury, repair and regeneration as well as resolution of inflammation in sepsis and acute lung injury (PMID26839042, 16955137, 34986352), and the pathogenesis of obliterative pulmonary vascular remodeling and right heart failure in pulmonary hypertension (PMID19487814, 27143681, 29664678). We use state-of-the arts technologies including single cell RNAseq analysis, nanoparticle-mediated in vivo genome editing (PMID34986352), genetic lineage tracing, and genetic cell depletion to address our hypotheses.
Candidates must have a PhD, or MD/PhD degree, prior 1st author publications, and be self-motivated. Experience in molecular and cell biology and vascular biology or genome editing is plus. Competitive salary, exceptional research environment, and outstanding mentorship for independent career development are available at Northwestern University. Position title and salary will commensurate with experience.
