Stanford Data Science and the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute invite applications for a tenure-track appointment at any level in data science, focusing on theoretical and computational neuroscience. Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree in statistics, data science, psychology, computer science, neuroscience, mathematics, or related disciplines. The departmental home of the appointee will be in line with the research and teaching expertise of the candidate, including Statistics, Psychology, Bioengineering, and other relevant departments.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute creatively and in depth to theoretical and computational neuroscience through research, teaching and trainee mentorship. We are open to candidates working on a broad range of problems including but not limited to formal theory, network models, information sciences and advanced data analytic methods as applied to neuroscience. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills, and will be able to actively contribute to our rapidly growing institutes and their home department.

    • Applicants who currently hold tenure should submit a list of three names of references (complete with addresses and phone numbers). We will request letters of recommendation for a short list of finalists only.

The search committee will begin reviewing applications on October 25, 2022.
