The Department of Oncological Sciences and Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) invite applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant or associate/full professor levels. We seek outstanding basic and early translational cancer researchers - especially in the areas of cancer cell biology, cell signaling, and hormone-driven cancers. Successful candidates will complement existing strengths in the Department in cancer cell biology, cell signaling, transcriptional regulation and epigenetics, cancer genetics, stem cell biology, tumor immunology, DNA repair, cancer modeling and cancer metabolism.  Our current investigators utilize a wide range of approaches, including genetically-engineered animal models of cancer, organoids and PDX models, biochemistry, cell biology, bioinformatics, genetics and genomics. HCI provides an outstanding environment, with state-of-the-art facilities, excellent shared resources, and NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center designation in a collegial supportive and collaborative Department culture.

Applicants for Assistant Professor are expected to hold a PhD or MD/PhD (or equivalent), have received appropriate postdoctoral training and to have a track record of impactful research. Applicants for senior positions should additionally have a proven record of independent funding, leadership and innovative research, and will provide mentorship/training to junior faculty and trainees.

Candidates should submit a curriculum vitae, a cover letter containing a description of professional experience (including scientific accomplishments, leadership responsibilities and 3 references), a 3-page research plan, and a statement of past, present, and future commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion (up to 1 page). Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to hiring individuals whose merit and experience promote a diverse, inclusive, anti-racist workforce and culture.
