The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Office of National Programs, Crop Production and Protection in Beltsville, MD, is seeking a permanent, full-time, National Program Leader for Grain Crops.  This senior-level position directs research and leads programs related to grain crop improvement, production, and protection for USDA’s in-house science agency.  The National Program Leader manages, plans, leads, coordinates, and implements comprehensive research programs conducted at sites nationwide.

 

The Candidates will provide extensive scientific background and must have basic training and advanced research experience in one or more of the specialty areas of 1) plant genetics or one of the basic biological sciences that included at least 9 semester hours in genetics.  2) plant physiology or a related scientific discipline that included at least 10 semester hours in plant physiology.  A Ph.D. is highly desirable.
