YOUR ROLE
- As Senior Product Development Technician, you will be part of a highly motivated team that develops adhesives for building construction and furniture applications
- Synthesize polyurethane hotmelt and liquid adhesives, and formulate thermoplastic hotmelts and waterborne adhesives
- Perform characterization tests and utilize processing equipment to evaluate adhesive process ability
- Prepare sample bonds and evaluate bond strength in a statistically reliable and reproducible manner
- Provide samples of products to internal and external customers
- Engage with colleagues in manufacturing to scale-up new products and sustain existing products
- Support problem solving and resolution of customer product complaints
- Tabulate, plot and interpret data, and maintain meticulous and up-to-date records in electronic laboratory notebook
- Present results and project status to stakeholders
- Plan and organize projects, and support laboratory needs including equipment calibrations, ordering of materials, and overall laboratory cleanliness
- Maintain a safe laboratory, follow safe practices, and ensure products and processes comply with all regulatory requirements
YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant discipline
- Prior 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience in internship or industrial setting is required
- Prior knowledge of adhesive technology and formulation experience is preferred
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong teamwork skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
- Excellent communication, organizational, and mechanical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
