Assistant Professor in Ecology

Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professor in Ecology. This specific purpose post will cover the substantive postholders secondment to a College Officer position. This Assistant Professor position will contribute to research and teaching in the School of Natural Sciences, E3 and Nature+ (Trinity’s Centre for Biodiversity & Sustainable Nature-based Solutions). We have particular interest in recruiting an applied ecologist with expertise in terrestrial field ecology, plant-insect interactions, entomology, agroecology and contemporary biodiversity loss/policy issues.

 

The position will be based in the Discipline of Botany within the School of Natural Sciences. Staff in Botany currently work on a wide range of plants and fungi, and their interactions with other organisms, in the context of global environmental change and societal challenges.

 

Post Status: This specific purpose post will cover the substantive postholders secondment to a College Officer position.  

 

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy [€36,369 to €88,616 per annum https://www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly-academic.pdf
