While we have been improving lives of HIV patients for 30 years, this is an especially exciting time to be at ViiV, as we evaluate novel approaches to treatment and prevention that could further reduce the impact of HIV on individuals and communities.

The Director, Clinical Pharmacology will provide technical therapeutic, and product development support for ViiV projects. They will ensure the optimal application of Clinical Pharmacology principles across the ViiV portfolio.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Ensure the optimal application of Clinical Pharmacology principles towards efficient drug development, risk management, and registration of compounds.
  • Contribute to the design of an efficient clinical development program and a robust registration package for ViiV assets
  • Analyze and interpret clinical pharmacology studies
  • Support internal and external ViiV collaborations
  • Innovate through working effectively with internal and external collaborators such as statisticians, physicians, and regulatory affair staffs
  • Other responsibilities, as appropriate, to support ViiV processes


Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Graduate degree in a medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences field & 5-plus years of drug development experience
  • Experience in clinical pharmacology in terms of understanding principles of design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of Clinical PK and PK/PD studies
  • Experience supporting collaborative translational science, experimental medicine, and the overall drug development processExperience providing direct clinical pharmacology support to clinical project teams
  • Experience providing direct clinical pharmacology support to clinical project teams
  • Experience applying clinical pharmacology to support R&D and post-marketing activities
  • Experience developing and implementing regulatory strategies related to clinical pharmacology, including knowledge of regulatory submission documents such as CTAs, INDs, NDAs, MAAs and BLAs


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Proven track record of effecting substantial change
  • Graduate degree in a medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences field & strongly prefer 10-plus years of drug development experience
  • Knowledge of multiple disciplines and therapeutic areas that impact discovery/ development policy, processes, or guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate outputs from several expertise areas to determine strategy
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Ability to influence others
