Position Summary

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Guido Marcucci, M.D., Chair and Professor, Department of Hematologic Malignancies Translational Science, Director, Gehr Family Center for Leukemia Research, Chief, Division of Leukemia.

The Postdoctoral research fellow will work on our funded multi-projects. The postdoc will explore signaling pathways relevant to drug development and discovery of basic mechanisms of leukemogenesis and novel therapeutic targets and epigenetic and genetic prognostic biomarkers in hematologic malignancies. The postdoc will be responsible for design and perform in vitro and in vivo experiment, data collection and analysis, grant writing, publications, dissemination, and the overall day-to-day running of the project.

Applicants must possess a relevant PhD in Cancer Biology or Molecular Biology or a related field of study. The applicant should have experience of conducting research, publishing journal papers, presenting research at conferences, and advanced quantitative data analyses. The successful applicant should also be able to work collaboratively, supervise the works of others and act as a team leader as required. In vivo experience including working with mouse models, transplantation, injection (IP, IV, oral gavage, retro orbital) and flow cytometry analysis is a plus.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

• Ph.D. in degree in life or biomedical sciences or a related discipline is required.
