We recently added novel surrogate aerosol generators to study military burn pit exposures. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is adjacent to the WVU HSC and provides an excellent source of potential collaborators interested in the toxicologic effects of occupational exposures. Existing research programs are focused on toxicology, cardiovascular physiology, redox biology and endocrinology are extramurally supported by the National Institutes for Health, American Heart Association and United States Department of Agriculture.
