GRINNELL COLLEGE – BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT, EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGIST - TENURE-TRACK POSITION (START FALL 2023).
GRINNELL COLLEGE. The Department of Biology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor appointment in Evolutionary Biology beginning Fall 2023. The Department of Biology has a long-standing commitment to attracting and retaining students from diverse backgrounds. Our innovative curriculum and pedagogy promote inclusivity and help students explore how Biology intersects with other disciplines. We seek a colleague whose practice complements the contributions of our current faculty. Research and teaching interests might include, but are not limited to, natural selection and adaptation, the evolution of behavior, conservation genetics, phylogenetics, and population genetics/genomics. Priority will be given to candidates with potential to integrate Grinnell’s field station, the Conard Environmental Research Area, into their teaching and research with students.
