The applicant should preferentially have a scientific profile in the field of immunopharmacology and novel drug therapies of inflammatory diseases and/or of cancer. Active participation in the DFG-funded RTG2727 "Innate Immune Checkpoints in Cancer and Tissue Damage", in the CRC1366 "Vascular Control of Organ Function" and in the lighthouse project "Synthetic Immunology" of the Heidelberg Mannheim Health and Life Science Alliance is welcome. In addition, he/she is expected to take an active role in the application for novel extramurally funded collaborative research programs.

Internationally visible, excellent achievements in research and teaching, relevant leadership experience, successful acquisition of extramural funding and didactic competence are expected as well as collaborative and leadership skills and commitment to academic self-administration.
