Research Field and Overview
RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing studies quantum information theory, develops techniques for quantum control and measurement, builds quantum computing hardware and software, and explores novel quantum technologies. We promote the progress of quantum information science and contribute to society through the application of quantum technologies.
In order to strongly promote quantum computing research and development, the Center plans to establish a new research team to conduct theoretical research of quantum computing in or after FY2023.

Team Leader: 1 position
Lead and manage a team conducting full-stack theoretical research covering quantum computing hardware, middleware, and software. Develop quantum computing architectures and algorithms for physical implementations, such as superconducting circuits, optics, semiconductor quantum dots, and atoms, in collaboration with experimental teams at RQC. Promote domestic and international collaborations for advancing quantum computing theory.
Advance the team’s research at a high level by providing accurate instructions, guidance, and advice to researchers, technical staff, and others.
Secure external research funding.
