Assistant Professor of Medical Engineering

The Department of Medical Engineering within the Division of Engineering and Applied Science at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. We are seeking highly qualified candidates committed to a career in teaching and research excellence in the broad area of biomedical engineering. We welcome candidates who are interested in applying fundamental engineering and sciences to therapeutic, diagnostic, and other translational medical areas with a strong intent to collaborate closely with clinical facilities and pursue practical applications. We also welcome candidates who can leverage the strengths of Caltech's engineering programs for fundamental medical research. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in engineering or an appropriate science-related discipline. M.D./Ph.D.s with strong interest and/or background in engineering are also encouraged to apply. Applications should include a curriculum vita, publication list, teaching statement, a description of proposed research, and at least three letters of recommendation sent to us directly by the references.
