A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Zhibin Zhang's Lab at the Department of Immunology, UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. The immunology department, chaired by Nobel Prize Laureate Dr. James Allison, focuses on various aspects of immunology, particularly cancer immunology. The mission of our lab is to fully understand the activation and regulation mechanisms of pyroptosis in tumor cells in order to develop novel therapeutic interventions to enhance anti-tumor immunity and treat tumors. For further details of our research, please refer to our recent publications (Nature 2016 PMC5539988; Nature 2020 PMC7123794; Cancer Immunol Res 2021 PMC7789047; Nat Rev Drug Discov 2021 PMC7944254).

This position will focus on the role of pyroptosis in tumor immunology. The candidate will combine biochemical, molecular biological, cell biological, mouse genetic, and systems biological tools to explore the activation and regulation of gasdermin proteins, the executors of pyroptosis, in the context of tumor-immune system interaction. Priority will be given to applicants with extensive experience in mouse tumor models and tumor immunology

Applicants must have a recent Ph.D. degree or equivalent in related biomedical field with strong self-motivation.
