The Yun lab aims to understand the molecular basis for the relationship between diets and other cancer hallmarks, such as genetics, epigenetics, metabolism, the immune system, and the microbiome. By doing so, we want to translate our findings to a clinical or public setting and discover effective strategies to prevent and treat colorectal cancer and other types of cancers.

The individual will learn experimental methods related to the study of dietary effects on colon cancer development using mice, cell lines, and organoids as a model system. They will work closely with the PI to learn how to write and submit manuscripts, writing fellowship and grant applications, and present their work at national and international conferences. Towards the end of their postdoc training, they will learn how to apply for faculty positions.

Applicants with a PhD or MD/PhD in the field of cancer and cell biology, immunology, metabolism, or intestinal microbiology with excellent publication records and communication skills.
