The Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is interested in candidates working at the cutting edge in all areas of medical microbiology (e.g., host-microbe interactions focusing on parasitology, or bacteriology). The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, independent, extramurally funded research program, actively participate in the graduate, undergraduate, and/or medical student teaching programs of the Department and provide university and community service as appropriate. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in research including a strong publication record and have excellent communication skills.

Departmental research interests include host-microbe interactions across the spectrum of parasitology, mycology, bacteriology, virology, and immunology.
