Drake University, a private comprehensive university, seeks applicants for a tenure track, assistant professor of neuroscience in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience to begin in August 2023. A PhD in neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience, or related field is required prior to the start date. An ideal candidate is a teacher-scholar committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and to advancing an independent research program that involves undergraduate students. Teaching assignments include introductory neuroscience, research methods in neuroscience, neurophysiology, biological bases of behavior, and courses within the candidate’s area of expertise. The department has animal facilities suitable for small vertebrates and a shared human subjects research space.
