The Department of Biology at New Mexico State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor (9-month, tenure track position, start date 2023). Applicants for this position must have a Ph.D. in Genetics or a related field, a strong track record of research productivity commensurate with experience, a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate and graduate education, and a minimum of one year of postdoctoral or equivalent experience. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program and teach courses in genetics, cell biology and related areas at the undergraduate level as well as graduate courses in their area of expertise. Applicants using experimental molecular genetics approaches to answer questions in areas including but not limited to cell biology, developmental biology, or immunology will be considered.
