The Department of Neuroscience at Scripps Research Institute (www.scripps.edu) in La Jolla (San Diego), CA is seeking outstanding applicants for tenure track Assistant Professor positions. We invite applications from ambitious and interactive young investigators from all areas of modern neuroscience applying molecular, genetic, biochemical, biophysical, cellular anatomical, and behavioral approaches to elucidate the mechanisms underlying nervous system function and its disorders.

The Department of Neuroscience offers a dynamic environment and provides a multi-disciplinary, collaborative atmosphere, fostering cutting edge neuroscience. We host substantial expertise in sensory neuroscience, addiction biology, learning and memory, neural control of metabolism and animal models of neurodegenerative, psychiatric and neurological diseases.  The state-of-the-art facilities at Scripps Research provide assistance with proteomics, next-generation sequencing, structural biology, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, medicinal chemistry, rodent behavior, and ultra high-throughput small molecule screening for drug discovery.
