The Center for Infection and Immunity (CII) in the Mailman School of Public Health on the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus is looking for candidates in the following positions:

Bioinformatics: Data scientists with expertise in genomic sequencing and machine learning will have opportunities to drive projects that integrate DNA and RNA sequence, metabolomic, proteomic, and clinical metadata to investigate the pathogenesis of acute and chronic diseases. Candidates with expertise on cloud computing as well as containerization platforms are encouraged to apply.

Postdoctoral Research Scientist: Basic and clinical researchers seeking training in and opportunities to contribute to global public health through molecular and serological diagnostics, epidemiology, surveillance, capacity building in the developing world, and biomarker discovery in acute infectious and chronic diseases. Candidates should be creative and committed to collaborative research.

Project Coordinator (GAPP): This individual will support pandemic prevention and response through capacity building in low- and middle-income countries in Asia, Africa, and South America. Candidates should have experience in the initiation, execution, management, and coordination of human subjects protocols, collection of biological samples, and survey data.

Project Coordinator (ME/CFS, GWI, Long-COVID): This individual will support research programs in myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), Gulf War Illness (GWI), and the long-term consequences of COVID-19. Candidates should have experience in the initiation, execution, management, and coordination of human subjects protocols, collection of biological samples, and survey data.
