A Postdoctoral Associate position is available immediately at Scripps Research in the Zwick lab. The successful candidate will contribute to the design of HIV vaccine candidates based on the envelope glycoprotein trimeric spike, identification of broadly neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs) from HIV-seropositive humans, and assessment of vaccine-induced bnAb responses in animal models. The candidate will be required to learn quickly and apply cutting-edge technologies to address critical problems in vaccine design. Candidate must be self-motivated, able to manage deadlines and solve problems. Excellent communication skills are essential. Candidate must work well independently and as part of a team. There will be opportunities to interact with experts in immunology, virology, bioinformatics, clinical researchers, and structural biologists. -Design Env vaccines to drive HIV bnAb responses in animal models including human bnAb germline Ig knock-in mice and rabbits
-mRNA-LNP vaccine development
-Single cell and NGS analyses of HIV bnAb lineages elicited in humans and animals
-Antibody cloning and analysis by various immunoassays
-structure-function studies of antibody interactions with HIV Env
-contribute to manuscript writing
