Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)

The MGH Department of Pathology seeks applications for a faculty member with expertise in computational biology or bioinformatics as applied to cancer research.  This is a tenure-track faculty position at the HMS Assistant Professor within the Department of Pathology. The successful candidate will be part of the Molecular Pathology Research Unit (https://www.massgeneral.org/pathology/research) and interact with faculty in both MGH Pathology and the MGH Center for Cancer Research. This is a vibrant research environment comprised of computational, experimental, and clinical groups that have access to large repositories of patient samples, data sets, and laboratory-based collaborators.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD, and/or MD with an established focus on computational biology, an outstanding academic record, strong communication skills, and interest in collaborating with our existing investigators to develop research programs that augment our current strengths in cancer biology, single cell genomics, epigenetics, and imaging.  In addition to a full start up package, the successful applicant will receive dedicated salary support for oversight of two computational staff scientists to establish research collaborations within the department.  The successful candidate will also participate in teaching activities at MGH and HMS and have access to students to join their research groups.

Please forward curriculum vitae, list of publications, four reference letters, a brief statement of computational research interests, and a diversity and inclusion statement by October 24th, 2022 to:
