The Crick Science Programme

The Crick carries out world-class discovery research to understand how living things work and to drive benefits for human health.

Our research spans the scales from genes, systems and evolution, through molecules and cells, to tissues and organismal biology. Aiming to generate insights into human biology in health and disease, our programmes use interdisciplinary approaches and diverse model systems to address issues in areas that include but are not limited to:

• infections and immunity
• cancer
• neural systems
• repair, degeneration and
• ageing physiology and homeostasis

The early career group leader support package

• Initial six-year contract, renewable to a total of 12 years
• Salaries and resources for up to three researchers and two
• graduate students
• Opportunity to expand through external grant funding
• Full lab set-up in cutting edge laboratory space

This package applies for entire length of contract. Towards the end of the appointment the Crick provides support for them to their research programme to senior appointments in the UK and elsewhere.

How to apply

Applicants should have experience conducting research in a relevant field, and an advanced degree (PhD or equivalent).

You will need:

• Full academic CV
• Publications list
• Details of past research (~500 words)
• Future research plans (~1000 words)
• Two or more academic references
