Chair (W2) of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and/or Psychotherapy with focus on clinical and experimental developmental psychiatry

to be filled at the earliest possible date.

The professorship is associated with a management function in the Clinic and Polyclinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Your tasks include representing the field in patient care, research and teaching (in German and, if necessary in English) as well as the successful establishment and continuation of projects – self-initiated or within the framework of research networks. Cooperation with the clinics of the Center for Mental Health, other institutes and clinics of the Faculty of Medicine and the psychological or neuroscientific laboratories of Technische Universität Dresden is expected.

We are looking for a personality with a research profile demonstrating translational research methods and thus fostering collaboration projects with clinicians and researchers. Evidence of substantial research achievements, successful implementation of coordinated projects by third-party funding bodies in the field of developmental psychiatry and the acquisition of peer-reviewed third-party funding is expected. Furthermore, experience especially in the field of multimodal research on child and adolescent mental health as well as commitment in teaching and good didactic skills are required. We wish for the future post holder to actively contribute to the further development of DFG research networks (e.g., FOR 2698) into larger DFG-funded research consortia and also participate in the further development of the "SaxoChiLD" site within the German Center for Child and Adolescent Health.

Prerequisites for appointment include a university degree, a doctoral degree and a post-doctoral degree/habilitation or an equivalent qualification record. Teaching experience and previous work in a clinic for child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy are mandatory. Prerequisites for appointment are governed by § 58 SächsHSFG.

The employment of professors with medical tasks is carried out at the University Hospital Dresden in the scope of non-pay-scale employment contracts with a basic remuneration and a performance- and success-related compensation.
