How You Will Achieve It

  • Independent development of cellular screening assays and execution of regular compound screening in support of drug discovery projects.
  • Processing of experimental data and presentation to cross-functional team members, recognizing and highlighting implications for broader discovery efforts.
  • Application of a variety of cell and molecular biology techniques, including gene targetingand small molecule inhibition approaches, for determination of compound mechanism of action.
  • Experimental evaluation of target dependency, off-target liabilities, phenotypic responses, resistance mechanisms, and beneficial drug combinations.
  • Comply with all safety training and good laboratory practices.

Qualifications

Must-Have
  • BS in a relevant discipline with 6+years or MS with 4+ years of experience in a biopharmaceutical industry setting.
  • Experience in experimental design and hands-on implementation of standard molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • Skilled in a wide range of state-of-the-art molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • Extensive hands-on experience developing and executing cell-based compound screening assays in a variety of formats (ELISA/MSD, Licor In-cell western, flow cytometry, transcriptional reporters, etc.).
  • Experience with automated liquid handling systems for execution of medium to high-throughput screening experiments.
  • Proficiency with standard analytical software (e.g., ExcelFit, GraphPad Prism, Spotfire, Vector NTI, Flowjo).
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to listen effectively and stimulate response and discussion in a team setting.
